Service description: Our Dynamic Counselling Team are a multi-disciplinary team including, Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers and have an extensive and proven range of experience.
Expertise: Individual, Couple, and Family Counselling I practice as a therapist, providing assessment, counselling and psychotherapy for a broad range of psychological issues including depression, anxiety and stress related disorders, workplace trauma and stress, disordered eating, post-traumatic stress disorders, substance abuse, impacts on survivors of sexual assault, personality disorders, anger and pain management as well as adjustment to life stressors such as grief and loss and relationship problems. The clients I work with include children, teenagers and adults both individually and in couple counselling.
Approach: In my clinical practice I use a variety of therapies such as, but not limited to, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Relationship Therapy, Family Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
Experience: I worked as a Snr Clinical Social Worker for six years at non-government organisation and part time for five years in private practice as an Associate. For the past 6 years I have worked in my own private practice along with Associates.

Approach:  Because each family and every person is unique, the ways in which I help them can vary, always with a focus on gently, slowly and with respect. In my clinical practice I use a multi layer of therapies such as Family Systems Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy.

Expertise: The centre provides specialist trauma counselling for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Mental health interventions are provided for clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Approach: CBT; family therapy; trauma focused therapy; Triple P Parenting program; strengths and client focused approaches; motivational interviewing; narrative therapy; art therapies; play therapy.
Experience: Counsellors have a range of experience in mental health counselling including depression and anxiety; trauma counselling; sexual assault and domestic violence counselling; parenting programs; family and relationship counselling; career planning; lecturing in social work; clinical supervision of allied health clinicians; working with children and adults.
Qualifications: The centre has two counsellors with qualifications including Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Social Work (Accredited Mental Health Social Worker) and Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling)
